Since the 2021/22 season, tenor Michał Proszynski has been a distinguished member of Bühnen Bern. His versatile repertoire includes roles such as Pelléas in Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande, Steva in Janáček’s Jenůfa, Pedrillo in Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Tamino in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, and Mime in Wagner’s Das Rheingold. In the upcoming 2024/25 season, Prószyński will debut as Matteo in Strauss’ Arabella and Lenski in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin.

Proszynski's notable performances in 2022 include his debut at the Verbier Festival in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera and Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. In 2021, he captivated audiences at the Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen as Alfred in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. Since making his stage debut in 2015, Prószyński has been a guest artist at the Staatstheater Braunschweig (2018-2020), where he performed as Vicomte Cascada in Lehár’s The Merry Widow and Abdallo in Verdi’s Nabucco at the Domplatz Open Air 2019. He has collaborated with esteemed directors such as David Bösch, Elmar Goerden, Eva-Maria Höckmayr, Ewelina Marciniak, Amélie Niermeyer, Silvia Paoli, Aron Stiehl, and Marco Štorman.

In 2017, Proszynski showcased his talent at the 2nd Voice and Piano Chamber Music Festival in Kraków, performing Brahms’ Neue Liebeslieder Walzer, op. 65, and later at the 8th Festival of Polish Music with Kraków Philharmonic as Harlequin in Szymanowski’s Mandragora. His 2022 engagements included Handel’s Israel in Egypt with Filharmonia Narodowa Warszawa and Mahler’s Das klagende Lied with Berner Symphonieorchester.

He has performed under the batons of renowned conductors such as Daniel Carter, Nicholas Carter, Srba Dinić, Yoel Gamzou, Stanislav Kochanovsky, Gianandrea Noseda, Sebastian Schwab, and Jan Willem de Vriend. His collaborations span prestigious orchestras including AUKSO Orkiestra, Berner Symphonieorchester, Orkiestra Filharmonii Narodowej, Jewish Chamber Orchestra Munich, Staatsorchester Braunschweig, and Verbier Festival Orchestra. In 2022, he made a notable appearance at Munich’s Festival Stars & Rising Stars.
